BIM digital maintenance

Large brewery

Annual maintenance of the digital twin: every intervention is fed into the model as soon as it is carried out.

What was done

A large brewery is a permanent work site: every campaign brings an intervention and the documentation ages at the pace of the plant itself. A model that is built once and filed away stops being reliable within a couple of campaigns.

A3D set up annual maintenance of the digital twin: the completed work is fed into the model within the same campaign.

The engineering team starts each project from the real, measured condition, instead of re-surveying the area. The plant has renewed the maintenance for years, and that continuity says the most about the service.

Case study 03

Every project starts from the real, measured condition

The twin’s maintenance is renewed year after year, and the plant’s engineering team starts each project from the real, measured condition.

What was happening

A large brewery is permanently a work site: every season brings an intervention and the documentation ages at the pace of the plant itself.

What we did

A3D came in validating one-off interventions; the plant’s digital twin took shape over those areas, and for years now a maintenance service has been loading each intervention into the model as soon as it is carried out.

What changed

Every project at the plant starts from the up-to-date model, and the maintenance has been renewed ever since.

Does your plant look like this one?

Each project started with a measured area: a bounded scan, a model of the real condition and a decision based on data. If you have an intervention ahead, it is bounded, measured and validated.
