What was done
When a manufacturer publishes its catalogue in BIM, it no longer depends on each designer drawing its products by hand: the object enters the model with its real geometry and its data.
A3D modelled the electrical equipment ranges in the commission as parametric BIM content — each family with its variants and parameters — and generated the database that accompanies them.
The result is a catalogue the manufacturer can hand to its clients ready to insert into a model, with the technical information already inside each object.
